The Basics of Painting

This course covers lectures on theory as well as practical exercises to teach realistic drawing and painting using different setups of objects.

Focused upon are subjects such as perspective in relation to still life and other setups as well as nude figure drawing. Furthermore, colour is discussed, covering everything from colour theory to colour harmony. Another key point is composition and the creation of the final image. Participants are supported as they search for inspiration and subject matter. Different drawing and painting techniques will be covered as well as the stretching and treating of canvas.

This course provides the know-how that will help participants in future courses.
