Creating with clay is a very ancient form of expression. Even the firing of clay to make ceramics is a thousand year old art form.
With pottery, function is a key point taken into consideration during the creative process. Lecturers however use both pottery and creative sculpting to search for new solutions and formulas to express current events and contemporary artistic ideas. Even large-scale clay pieces can be fired in the kiln or the Raku Fire oven.
