Goals and Timeline
The European Art Academy offers qualified intensive studies programs in the fields of Painting, Drawing and Sculpting. The experiences gained here will strongly help participants develop their artistic work process.
In this major takes place over the course of 6 weeks and is catered to participants who have completed the Drawing and Painting program and people with a strong previous knowledge of the subject.
The major will build on the Drawing and Painting program, which is why it is highly recommended that participants have completed that specific program. People interested in taking the course without having the prerequisites should send in photos of their works together with explanations of the pieces. Lecturers of the Academy and Academy administration will evaluate these pieces.
The lecturers are trained artists with long time teaching experience in their fields. In the Major program the main focus is on self-development and concept development of the students own ideas. The lecturers will make corrections and the gained knowledge will be used by the participants to strengthen their work. During discussions with the lecturers, participants will develop themes and ideas in their images. Independent painting, drawing or sculpting are at the center of this Major program. The program also includes group discussions and analysis of images, lecture on art history and art theory and an excursion.
At the end of the course participants are given the opportunity to present their work as well as a certificate stating the completion of the program.
The spacious, well-lit studios and well equipped workstations are available outside of class.
